Terms of Use and Rental Conditions

1. General Provisions
These Terms govern the relationship between ŠUM RENT(hereinafter: “Lessor”) and the person renting equipment via the website or by phone (hereinafter: “Client”). By using the website and submitting a booking request you accept these Terms in full.

2. Booking and Confirmation
A booking request is submitted through the online form on the website. The booking becomes binding only after written confirmation by the Lessor via email or phone.
Until confirmation, the Lessor does not guarantee equipment availability for the requested dates. If unavailable, the Client will be notified promptly and offered an alternative or a no-charge cancellation.
3. Prices and Payment
All prices are quoted in euros (€) and refer to the daily rental rate. The minimum rental period is one day.
Payment is made in cash upon delivery or pickup, unless otherwise agreed. The Lessor reserves the right to change prices on the website; all confirmed bookings remain at the price agreed on the date of confirmation.
4. Delivery and Pickup
Delivery is provided within Belgrade. The delivery address must be specified in the booking form. Delivery costs are agreed separately and communicated at the time of booking confirmation.
The Client must be available at the specified address at the agreed time. If unavailable, the Client bears any re-delivery costs.
5. Cancellation Policy
- Cancellation more than 48 hours before the rental start: no charge
- Cancellation 24–48 hours before the start: 50% of the total agreed price is charged
- Cancellation less than 24 hours before the start or no-show: 100% of the total agreed price is charged
To cancel, send an email to sumsbeograd@gmail.com or call the phone number listed on the website. The cancellation date is the moment the Lessor confirms receipt of the notification.
6. Use and Liability for Equipment
The Client assumes full responsibility for the rented equipment from the moment of pickup until its return to the Lessor.
The Client agrees to:
- use the equipment solely for the purposes stated at the time of booking
- protect the equipment from physical damage, theft, and adverse weather conditions
- not lend the equipment to third parties without prior written consent from the Lessor
- return the equipment in the same condition in which it was received, by the agreed deadline
In the event of damage, loss, or destruction of the equipment, the Client bears the full cost of repair or replacement at market value.
7. Right of Withdrawal
In accordance with the Consumer Protection Act (Art. 36 and 37), individual Clients have the right to withdraw from a distance contract within 14 days without stating a reason.
The right of withdrawal does not apply if the rental service has already been performed (equipment delivered and received). Withdrawal requests should be sent to sumsbeograd@gmail.com.
8. Complaints
Complaints about the quality or condition of the equipment must be submitted:
- Immediately upon pickup — verbally or in writing
- Within 24 hours in writing to sumsbeograd@gmail.com
The Lessor undertakes to respond to complaints within 8 business days, in accordance with the Consumer Protection Act.
9. Dispute Resolution
The parties shall endeavour to resolve all disputes amicably and out of court. The Client may submit a complaint to the competent authority — the Ministry of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications — or use the online consumer dispute resolution platform.
In the event of legal proceedings, the competent court is the court in Belgrade.
10. Governing Law
These Terms of Use and Rental Conditions are governed by the law of the Republic of Serbia, including the Consumer Protection Act, the Electronic Commerce Act, and the Personal Data Protection Act.
